About Westfield Trees

After studying for his B-TEC diploma in horticulture between 1994 and 1995, Matt Williams, proprietor of Westfield Trees, then went on to obtain his NPTC (National Proficiency Tests Council) qualification for ground work whilst working at Netherfield Place. He subsequently worked for Connick Tree Care as a groundsman, progressing to tree work after he passed the NPTC in climbing, aerial rescue, felling and hung up trees. Matt worked as part of a team on the Hastings council contract for two years.

After having travelled Australia and New Zealand for a year, Matt started Westfield Trees in 2001. The company carries out tree and hedge work for both private and commercial clients; some of these include Combe Haven Holiday Park, Arko Property Management, Stredder Pearce, the NHS and local parishes. Westfield Trees covers towns and villages in East Sussex and Kent including Hastings, Bexhill, Battle, Rye, Westfield, Brede, Guestling, Etchingham and Ticehurst amongst others.
